Magician in Columbia
Mizzou and two hospitals, halfway between Kansas City and St. Louis.
Columbia is seven and a half hours out and best planned as an overnight. Its position exactly between Kansas City and St. Louis is the reason a lot of statewide organisations meet here: it is the fair middle for anyone driving from either end of Missouri.
What gets booked in Columbia
The University of Missouri and the two hospital systems dominate, generating department banquets, donor receptions and medical conference work. Because statewide associations use Columbia as neutral ground, there is more convention business than a city this size would normally see, and the state capital at Jefferson City is half an hour south for government-adjacent events. The academic calendar governs: avoid finals weeks and home football Saturdays.
Getting there
Roughly 7.5 hours by road from Milwaukee. That is normally still a drive rather than a flight, which means the full show travels with me, and travel is either built into the package or itemised on your quote, agreed before anything is booked.
