Nebraska is about eight hours from Milwaukee. That is a drive, and it changes the economics: no airfare, no baggage limits on what I can bring, and I can carry the fuller version of the show rather than the version that fits in a case.
Omaha and Lincoln are an hour apart, so a two-night trip covering both is easy to arrange. Travel is either built into the package or shown as a line on your quote, agreed in advance.
What I get booked for in Nebraska
Omaha's event calendar is driven by insurance and financial services, the railroad, construction and a large agribusiness sector, and those companies hold real annual banquets, service-award nights and client dinners. Lincoln adds state government, the university and the associations that meet there over the winter.
Outside the two cities the pattern changes. Chambers of commerce, co-ops, county fairs and churches run banquets that are the social event of the year for that town, and they want entertainment that a nine-year-old and a grandparent can watch together.
