Magician in Aspen
Two short seasons, very high budgets, and private events that stay private.
Aspen is a fly-in, into Aspen itself or Eagle County, and is unlike anywhere else on this list. It has two intense seasons: winter from December through March, and a summer season built on the Aspen Institute and the music festival. There are genuine dead months either side.
What gets booked in Aspen
The work here is private: house parties, corporate retreats for small senior groups, and the hospitality around the Aspen Institute's summer programme and the Food & Wine Classic in June. Groups are small, budgets are high, and discretion matters more than it does anywhere else: clients expect an entertainer who is good with a room of twenty and does not talk about who was in it. Close-up magic is the whole job here; there is rarely a stage. Christmas and New Year book a year ahead.
Getting there
A fly-in date from Milwaukee. Flights and time on the ground are either built into the package or shown as a separate line on your quote, agreed before anything is booked and never added afterwards.
