Cheyenne is a fly-in, though usually into Denver, which is about ninety minutes down I-25 and often easier and cheaper than flying into Cheyenne itself. Either way, the travel is built into the package or itemised on your quote, agreed before anything is booked.

State government, F.E. Warren and Union Pacific are the anchors. The legislature sits here in winter, the base runs formal functions and unit dinners, and the railroad has been part of this town since it started it.

Frontier Days takes the last full week of July and takes the hotel rooms with it, so plan around that week rather than into it. The rest of the year runs on association banquets, chamber events, agricultural and ranching organisations, and December parties. The data centres east of town have added a newer and more corporate strand to all of it.
