Magician in Billings

The trade centre for four states' worth of country, which is why the associations meet here

Billings is a fly-in. It is a long way from anywhere, which is part of why it works — bringing an entertainer in from outside the region still reads as an occasion rather than a routine line on the run sheet.

Most of what I am asked for here is banquet and convention work: state association meetings, agriculture and energy company events, healthcare recognition nights. Travel is either built into the package or itemised on your quote, agreed before anything is booked.

What gets booked in Billings

Billings is the trade centre for an enormous area — eastern Montana, northern Wyoming, the western Dakotas — so statewide associations hold their annual meetings here even though the capital is elsewhere. That is the bulk of the corporate calendar, and those dates are set a year out.

MetraPark carries the large events, including the fair in August and the livestock exposition in October. The Alberta Bair handles theatre-sized rooms. Refining, ranching and the two hospital systems supply the rest: safety milestones, appreciation dinners, and holiday parties in December.

A fly-in date from Milwaukee. Flights and time on the ground are either built into the package or shown as a separate line on your quote, agreed before anything is booked — never added afterwards.
