Kansas is a drive. Nine hours from Milwaukee puts it outside same-night range, so a Kansas booking is normally an overnight — but driving means the full kit comes with me, stage show included, with nothing shipped.
Overland Park and the Kansas side of the Kansas City metro are the easiest to reach. Wichita and the western half of the state add hours, and that goes into the quote at the start rather than turning up later.
What I get booked for in Kansas
The Kansas City suburbs on the Kansas side hold most of the corporate work: engineering firms, telecom, insurance, and the animal health corridor running between Manhattan and Kansas City, which brings its own conferences and vendor hospitality. Wichita is aviation manufacturing, and those companies run supplier events, service awards and holiday parties.
The rest of the state books differently. Co-ops, community banks, hospital foundations and county associations hold annual banquets, and churches and schools book family programs — usually earlier in the evening and for a much wider age range than a corporate date.
Travel
Roughly 9 hours by road from Milwaukee. That is normally still a drive rather than a flight, which means the full show travels with me, and travel is either built into the package or itemised on your quote, agreed before anything is booked.
