Magician in Orlando

Trade show and conference magic in Orlando, built around the convention calendar

Most of the people at an Orlando event flew in for it. That changes the job. You are not entertaining a local crowd who will see each other again next week, you are trying to make a few days stick for attendees who will forget most of them.

I work the convention side of that: booth magic, hospitality suites, awards dinners and welcome receptions. Travel from Milwaukee is a flight, and the cost is either built into the package or itemised on your quote before anything is booked.

What gets booked in Orlando

The Orange County Convention Center is one of the largest in the country and it runs close to year round, with the heaviest stretch from January into May. Around it sit the big meeting hotels, from Rosen Shingle Creek and Gaylord Palms to the Grande Lakes and Grand Cypress properties, each carrying its own flow of corporate meetings and incentive groups.

Booth work earns its keep on a floor that size. A banner cannot hold a group for four minutes and a routine can, with your product message built into it rather than bolted on afterwards.

Getting there

A fly-in date from Milwaukee. Flights and time on the ground are either built into the package or shown as a separate line on your quote, agreed before anything is booked — never added afterwards.

Also covered nearby: Winter Park, Kissimmee, Lake Mary, Altamonte Springs, Sanford, Celebration.
