Magician in Florida

Orlando conventions, Miami corporate work, and a winter gala season that runs January to April

Florida is a fly-in market and one of the busiest in the country for the kind of work I do. Orlando on its own runs enough convention business to fill a calendar, and the state's season sits opposite Wisconsin's — January through April is when the calls come.

I fly in, usually the day before, and carry everything I work with rather than shipping ahead. Travel is either built into the package or itemised on your quote, agreed before anything is booked.

What I get booked for in Florida

Orlando is the center of it: the convention center, the resort hotels built around it, and the meetings that fill both. Miami adds corporate and international business, Tampa and Jacksonville bring healthcare, insurance and logistics companies, and the southwest coast brings private clients and charity events through the winter.

Incentive trips are a Florida specialty — a company rewarding its top sellers with a few days somewhere warm. Those programs want an evening that feels like the reward, not another session on the agenda.

Travel
