I'll Read Your Birthday
Three small sums on the month and day you were born, and I will read the date straight back.
Three steps, small numbers, and you can do it in your head if you want to. Work from the month and the day you were born (not the year, I am not asking for that).
Run the steps in order, then tell me the one number you end up with.
Nothing was guessed. The number you handed me had your birthday folded inside it, and unfolding it was a matter of undoing the steps you'd just done, in reverse. That's mentalism in miniature: information travelling somewhere you didn't expect it to go.

How it works
Multiplying the month by fifty parks it in the hundreds column, well clear of any day of the month, which never gets above thirty-one. Adding the day drops it into the space underneath, and the twenty-five on the end is only there so the total does not look like an obvious pairing. Take the twenty-five back off and the two numbers fall apart on their own.
