Ohio
Magician in Ohio
Six hours east, three distinct metros, and no flights to work around
Ohio is the easiest out-of-state drive I make after Illinois. Six hours puts me in Columbus or Cleveland with the full kit in the car, which takes flights, baggage limits and equipment shipping out of the conversation entirely.
That makes an evening date practical without turning it into a two-day commitment, and it makes short-notice bookings more realistic than they are in fly-in markets. Any mileage or overnight is either built into the package or itemised on your quote, agreed before anything is booked.
What I get booked for in Ohio
The three metros book differently. Columbus is insurance, state government, retail head offices and the university, which produces a steady run of association meetings and conference receptions. Cleveland is health care and professional services, with a serious medical-meeting calendar attached to it. Cincinnati is consumer goods and the advertising and design work that orbits them.
Outside those, Dayton's aerospace and defence employers, Akron's polymer companies and Toledo's manufacturers run the same kinds of events at a smaller scale: customer hospitality, service award nights and holiday parties.
Travel
About 6 hours by road from Milwaukee — a regular run, and travel is either built into the package or itemised on your quote, agreed before anything is booked.
Where the people are
Ohio’s biggest cities
Most of Ohio’s population lives in and around these five cities, and that is where most of the events are. Caleb performs in all of them — and in the smaller towns between them.
