Between Harvard, MIT and the biotech companies in Kendall Square, this is about as concentrated an audience of very clever people as exists anywhere, and they are a wonderful room, because they engage completely and enjoy being beaten.

Kendall Square biotech and technology firms run client evenings, launch parties and holiday events with real budgets. The universities add donor receptions, department dinners and conference socials. Mentalism is the strongest suit here: an audience that solves problems professionally takes genuine pleasure in one it cannot.
