Maine is a fly-in, and there is no direct route from Milwaukee — Portland or Bangor takes a connection and most of a day. That makes it a trip I plan around rather than slot in.
The season shapes everything else. Summer and early fall are when the coast is busy and when most of the enquiries come, so a date then is worth asking about well ahead. Travel is either built into the package or itemised on your quote, agreed before anything is booked.

The summer market is coastal and largely private: weddings and rehearsal dinners around Kennebunkport, Camden and Bar Harbor, family reunions at inns, and resort events where the guest list is small enough that close-up work is the only sensible choice.
Portland is the year-round business side — insurance, medical, diagnostics and a hospitality industry well out of proportion to the city's size — plus statewide association conferences that rotate between Portland and Bangor. Winter moves indoors to the ski resorts and holiday parties, and summer camps and community programs book family shows across the state.
