Magician in Georgia

Atlanta is a short nonstop and a serious corporate market — Savannah is the other half of the state

Georgia is a fly-in date. Thirteen hours by road is nobody's idea of a sensible trip for one evening, and Atlanta is a nonstop from Milwaukee, so I can land in the afternoon and still work that night.

Atlanta is the anchor. Savannah, Augusta and Columbus usually mean a connection and an overnight, so those get planned with more lead time. Flights and hotel are either built into the package or itemised on your quote before you commit to anything.

What I get booked for in Georgia

Atlanta carries the state: a heavy concentration of corporate headquarters, a convention center that hosts some of the largest trade shows in the country, and a constant run of association meetings and sales conferences with hospitality attached. Booth work does well here for the same reason it does in Las Vegas — the aisles are long and everyone is competing for a reason to stop walking.

Outside Atlanta the character changes. Savannah books weddings, incentive trips and smaller meetings in historic venues, and church programs are a real part of the market statewide.

Travel

A fly-in date from Milwaukee. Flights and time on the ground are either built into the package or shown as a separate line on your quote, agreed before anything is booked — never added afterwards.
